Our Octobers are always so busy as we try and fit in all the usual Halloween traditions. Among them is pumpkin carving and a trip to Gardner Village in Salt Lake.
It has been awhile since I've had to carve two pumpkings. Wesley has been doing his own for years now and last year we never ended up carving them. After Thomas' pumpkin was done and we placed the candle in it was worth it. He just stood there staring at Mickey.
I did Minnie for mine.
Brandon's is always some interesting face he makes up.
Wesley's pokemon creation . . . totally forgot which one he picked.
Gardner Village has become a tradition that we started clear back when Wesley was four. The little village is decked out with fall decor and they set up witches around the village. Every year they have a scavenger hunt to look for the different witches and where they are located. It has since also become a tradition for many other families and gotten so busy. This year we chose to go on family night though and it was a lot less crowded.
We really enjoyed watching Thomas get excited (but cautious) when he saw the witches and what they were doing. I didn't take too many pictures since we went after dark, but still managed to get a few.
